Goodwill of North Florida continues to have one of the most-effective job placement and training services in Goodwill International’s entire nationwide network. In 2012, our six Job Junctions assisted 52,748 individuals and successfully placed 11,533 people into jobs, a 6.5 percent increase over 2011. And that was in a struggling economy!
In addition to helping people find jobs, the career centers offer a wide range of services, including: workshops to enhance employability and retention; instruction in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel; use of computers to prepare résumés and to conduct job searches via the Internet; individualized career counseling; onsite interviews with employers; career fairs; access to Internet job postings; phone, fax and copy services for communication with employers; a Hello Line for participants without telephones to receive calls from prospective employers.
